Let's chat about Consumer Connect Passwords and Security. Ellie Mae has removed the ability for PRMG personnel to reset a borrower password in the Consumer Connect admin site. It's gone, gone, gone forevermore, but the Borrower still has the ability to reset their own password in Consumer Connect!
There was a growing concern around security, and protecting the integrity of the secure borrower’s password to process applications. To ensure we maintain security and protect borrower privacy, the password reset feature was removed from the Consumer Connect Admin site, so your PALS and ITsupport no longer have access to this feature. Your IT Support Team did streamline the forgot password feature, and included an Over The Phone (OTP) method to make the entire process easier to follow, and align our process with many other major software vendors.
